After trying out Dad’s 7610 and 7300 on a recent visit, I decided to pick up an Icom IC-7300 from R&L.
It is quite impressive the amount of features they get into a radio the same physical size as my Icom IC-718. So far I’ve been using it for FT8 digital work. I have a camping trip coming up and I plan to take this new radio with me to do some portable operating.
So far I like operating the radio. The touch screen interface is intuitive as are the available settings via the menus. I look forward to getting to know the radio better over the next few weeks.
